Now I know what to pack in our truck camper! I haven't had a chance to read thru all of it yet since I am downloading McDougall's Advanced Study Weekend right now but those Samosadillas will be the first thing I try!!!!! This book is gonna be a lifesaver for me! We don't have hurricanes in Arizona but do much camping and I always have a hard time figuring out what to make for food, specially since my other half isn't vegan!Nancy Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04131860639044524618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8947277095635982390.post-65774432990996729682010-09-09T12:13:41.757-04:002010-09-09T12:13:41.757-04:00You and your husband are a great team. I hope you enjoy Vegan Unplugged when you get it!<br /><br />Hi Kim, I'm glad you enjoyed Apocalypse Chow (now out of print) and it's wonderful to know that it helped you go vegan. By the way, Vegan Unplugged is way more than an incarnation of AC -- is been revised with new chapters, a new organization, updated information, and a dozen new recipes. So, I do hope you'll recommend Vegan Unplugged to everyone now instead!Robin at Vegan Planethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07271853050931365455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8947277095635982390.post-73067465183376911832010-09-08T22:23:41.837-04:002010-09-08T22:23:41.837-04:00I bought the earlier incarnation of this book, Apo...I bought the earlier incarnation of this book, Apocalypse Chow, years ago when I was looking for recipes for post hurricane conditions. I had no idea it was vegan! I found the recipes to be delicious and I have to credit the book as one of the factors that eventually led me to give up meat altogether. Having vegan recipes I knew my family liked was the first step on that journey. I have my emergency food box (as recommended in the book) all set up and ready to go should a storm come our way. We'll be able to ride out the aftermath in true vegan foodie style. :)<br /><br />I've recommended this book to everyone I talk to about hurricane preparedness, by the way; I'm so happy it's in print again. Oh- I have to update the Shelfari book shelf on my blog!!Kim, Rambling Family Managerhttp://ramblingfamilymanager.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8947277095635982390.post-74630671538174914172010-09-08T22:03:01.004-04:002010-09-08T22:03:01.004-04:00I ordered mine weeks ago and CAN'T wait to get...I ordered mine weeks ago and CAN'T wait to get it!!
